A Call To Rewild
Can You Feel It? You're invited.
You pull up to a relaxed crew of friendly faces. The dirt road was bumpy and you’re glad to have arrived. Lucas points you to “the dopest zone” for tent pitching and stargazing, then helps you stage your vehicle. “Leave your phone in the car and be back in 45 for the yoga flow.” he tells you.
You’re nervousness dissipates upon having a safe, private, comfy sleep zone for reprieve if you so need. Groovy melodic, chill tunes are being laced by Madeline, the yoga teacher and DJ. She kindly gives you a ten minute warning to find a spot for your mat. “I’ve got you from here” she says.
On the tail end of your blissful yoga sesh, the food is hot and you sit with your butt in the pristine red dirt— not because you have to, but because you get to. At this point, you have a shared touchpoint with the group, partaken in some non-cheesy ice breakers, and spontaneous laughter erupts as the energy builds. The leaders have set the tone, the door is open, and you’re free as a bird to walk right through and let your freak flag fly.
If you’re into that sorta thing.
You walk to the ledge of the red rock to help digest and catch the sun peeking behind the reef.
Your mind is quieter. Nature is already doing it’s thing on you. You laugh to yourself and say, “so simple, so nice.”
The air is nippy but a ripping bon fire keeps you right. There’s no cell service, no distractions, just good people doing good people things. Being kind. Expressing. Listening. Chilling. Discussing. Fucking around. And Marsh is dancing with his shorts on his head.
From this point forward is what we call flow. Group flow. Unplugged’s special sauce. Dance when you please. Scream when you please. Drink if you please. Don’t drink if you please. Stay up all night if you please. Go to bed when you please.
Whatever you please, you awake to strong coffee, quietness, breath-work, and discussion. The food is hot. You do your dish (did I say DO YOUR DISH) then pull out your journal but put it away because the energy of the crew is too rich. You planned on leaving by 11, but it’s already 1 and you wanna keep ripping. No longer confined to the clock but instead living on soft-time, nature time, Kairos.
You return home, to the plugged in world, and you’re rejuvenated with fresh eyes on your day-to-day. You’ve temporarily broken your holding patterns and you see your shit in a new light. At least for a bit. This, I believe, is priceless. And this, I believe, must be in our yearly medicine cabinet if we’re in the business of thriving.
The door is open for our marquee burn down. To blow out the cob webs and wipe clean the neural pathways that make us small. We can’t promise transformation. Nor are we necessarily going for it. But it’s been a common byproduct of our past events. The thing that happens when you bring your perfectly-imperfect self to a squad of other peeps primed for fun and ready for a good ole fashion good time.

It’s what we’ll be doing last week of March for this campout that we’ve dubbed as: REWILD.
Truly, I want you to know, you’re invited. Can you feel it?
Part 1 is March 25th-28th in the San Rafael Swell, 3 days of this, plus workshops and adventure (dudes only for part 1). Part 2 is March 28th-29th in the San Rafael Swell (same spot), and it’s not dudes only, it’s for everyone. Located at the same camp zone and piggy backs on the tail end of the dudes adventure— it’s a one night camp out dance party for all. It’s what I described in the writing above.
We believe these type experiences, the resets, are priceless. For this reason they cost money. If you want to learn more just reply here with questions or click…

Beautifully put together post! I will try to make it for the weekend.
